I have worked for years as a professional illustrator and,while I enjoy the work very much, am often frustrated by its limitations. In these works on canvas, I employ rich textures and a limited palette to investigate issues of impermanence, personal freedom, and our strained relationship with nature. I maintain a studio in Bellingham, Washington.
