Andrew Lichota is a painter, drawer, director animated films. Presently he's making series of abstract paintings based on impressions from travels and searches for attractive, thick forms of expression. These series are : Iran, Australia and La Gomera. "The basis for my painting work remains the archetype understood as a dynamic structure ready for change and development. The compositions are instinctive record of personal reactions and impressions from often distant places and cultures: Iran, La Gomera and Australia. To enhance the expression of the image I strive for maximum enrichment of matter and an important element is the confrontation of light and shadow, impact of colour with his lack or monochrome. When it comes to painting, truly and deeply, it must be abstract ". Also Andrew Lichota is an author of cartoon characters - TeD, polish reality press commentator and several other cartoon characters. He debuted in „Przekrój”, famous weekly social / cultural magazine in 1998. He published more than 5,500 works in the most popular dailies and opinion weeklies also in the foreign press, among others: " New TIME" - London, "Polish THE TIMES", "Polityka", "Rzeczpospolita", "Dziennik Polski", "Wprost". Multiple broadcasts in television such as: TVN 7, TVP Cracow , TVN 24, TVM. The founder and the chief editor of the cultural-satirical magazine "TEDPRESS". He has published several books and realized 61 short animated films, including 19 to the television schedule "TVN 7". He takes an active part in works of Jury of international film festivals in Sydney; CINEWEST , Łódź; "ReAnimacja", and Teheran; ROSHD International Film Festival. Winner of international awards, awarded with scholarship of the Ministry of Culture in Poland and Erich Pommer Institut scholarship – Berlin
