Barbara Wirth Artist Bio:

There are two main topics in my work: using different materials in my paintings to create haptic surfaces and textures, because the effects between light, paint and shadow are more intensively. The second topic of my work is the collage: with parts of magazines or photographies. In this way I can create surreal and absurd situations to transport the viewer´s mind in a – may be – paradox world. Ordinary and trivial images get a new narrative context to find unknown relations.
