Casey Temby Artist Bio:

Fine Artist/ Street Artist/ Muraliast/ Scenic Artist Born in Perth, Western Australia, Casey Temby studied at The WA Academy of Performing Arts, Edith Cowan University taking Staging for Theatre and Film with a major in scenic painting. Thereafter Casey studied Interior Architecture at Curtin University and the University of Canberra in which was awarded the Design Institute of Australia and the University of Canberra award for academic excellence and outstanding achievement along with the Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design award for academic excellence. During this period, Casey also created artwork and exhibited, of which one was a sell out solo exhibition in Sydney, Australia and also won a painting competition for her work "˜Constance'. She has also exhibited in three group exhibitions in Sydney and Darwin, Australia. Casey's aesthetic defies the mundane, free from the constraints of trend. A story is told often with a romantic and melancholic feel. An emphasis is placed on the concept and the visualisation of this concept usually through the use of hand drawings. "˜shades of lightness' (sell out first solo exhibition in 2008) was a series of portrait-style charcoal drawings and mixed media paintings, which were manipulated through the use of shading in an attempt to create a feeling of reflection and contemplation. The painting which won the Musique Art competition, Sydney in 2009, "˜Constance', was inspired by D.H. Lawrence's "˜Lady Chatterley's Lover'. "˜Constance', makes direct reference to the character of Constance Chatterley who, as her name suggests, puts into question the constant but evolving desires of her heart. In a sensual and romantic way. http://be.net/caseytemby
