My artwork takes a satirical view of social, political and cultural issues. In my work, I deconstruct the psychology of subliminal suggestion, fairy tales, nursery rhymes, and religion, that make up our culture. Having explored a diverse range of subjects such as the civil rights movement, World Cup Soccer, Blues and world history. My work represents 50 years of visual experience, creating and developing those experiences into my life's work, has been shear joy and pain. The focus of my art is to project my inner vision into the world, in the form of Public Ar, IE.(Large outdoor murals). Working closely with the community to create outdoor galleries that raise social and environmental aesthetic that touches the deepest psychic and personal experiences, of the community. My goal is to enable those involved to recognized the importance of creating positive human experiences, while creating art. My influences are first and foremost everything I see, feel and experience, but I've always loved American illustration particularly work by Carl Owen's, Norman Rockwell and Robert Crumb. Muralist: Aaron Douglas, Diego Reveria. The Painters I admire are Salvador Daly, Edouard Manet, Pablo Picasso. Chazz's paintings have been exhibited in art galleries throughout the world from the Bay Area to Brazil, Los Angeles to London and Mexico to Manhattan. Chazz's artwork has been featured in magazines, books and even on television. Chazz was profiled in both Detroit News and The Detroit Free Press (May, 2010).
