Claudia Geil Artist Bio:

www.claudiageil.de My paintings my life is like the way I`m used to paint first to perceive with all senses, start to sprint , to design, to create , colorful, colorful, colorful, make decisions, have to let go something you already got fond of, to refocus, disallow, to come to calm and again strike a new path, order oneself …, reduce, keep moving and again .... . Color, color, color My life is colorful It`s me In my youth I made my first character attempts that ended up more or less in the trash. Only in my almost 2 years of U.S. residence, I found the peace and the muse to find oneself at all way around the drawing. After this stay I had a short debut from one year to the "Swabian Alb"., Where under professional guidance and well-meant words of Wolfgang Wiebe, I learned to desal with red chalk, graphite, charcoal and chalk . He has been a tremendous help The whole program but still no color ... During my studies I was able to draw further deepen, finally color, color, color In the form of watercolor freehand drawings with Prof. Henner Hermanns. It was so much fun to learn ... to understand ...to see After studying ... I wanted more, more color, more material. 2002 I replaced then the watercolor block by stretched canvas. 2003-2006 I worked as an honorary force in the arts and creative industries for the JG Group, headquartered in Cologne 2005 member of the artist group Spectrum Bendorf 2006 awarded the art prize of the city Bendorf 2009 to present as a lecturer at the VHS Bendorf since 2011 my own painting studio where I am giving courses Why all this? I want to create , satisfy my curiosity about the result every day. My abstract paintings are not a bulk production. The pictures take their time. Passionate layer is placed over layer. Removed, reduced and glazed over and over, sanded and layered again. Eventually, the result is there and I'll calm. The next picture is already in my head. further... further ... further ... All in the beginning of my abstract works I play with colors and I love to experiment with materials My own inner drive follows the inspiration. With all my being, with all my senses I paint. And so I'm experimenting with all the means that are available to me; with all the possible and the impossible in order to succeed in a good abstract work. I do not plan anything in advance, but put on spontaneity. But I need a certain amount of freedom, generosity and unauthorized cunning to finally get to the vision of “ the new one" to feel free and not to be restricted by rules or styles. I want to trigger [nbsp] emotions, feelings awaken by the temptations of colours. For so long I can think of, is color a part of my life. My heart and soul go into and with it
