Daniel Rivero Serradell Artist Bio:

He is born in 1973 in Villa Giardino, Argentina. In 2002, he decides to change the scenery and makes his home in Málaga, where he lives at present. Over the last 18 years, he has developed his work as a designer and, later on, in the area of audiovisual production with his friend the film director Javier Cabrera. His lightning work in the short film Walkman, winner at the 19th Festival de Cine de Málaga (Spanish Film Festival of Málaga), stands out from his latest projects. He is a member of the jury of the Premios de Publicidad Agripina 2012 (Agripina Advertising Awards) for the Packaging category and his work has been recognized in different graphic media related to design such as the French magazine Formes de Luxe, the design book Magic Packaging 2 and some online sites like The Dieline and Packaging of the World. At the same time, he has also developed his artistic work, which begins when he is only 8 years old and which has slowly gained ground to the extent that, early in 2015, he decides to make his work known and to work more frequently, that becoming his main goal. When he is 8, he starts taking private drawing classes with a plastic/visual arts local teacher before experimenting with materials such as charcoal and oil. Daniel is a disciple of Georg Miciu Nicolaevivi, a great international artist who, besides offering him his friendship and support, introduces him to the palette knife as a working tool. He starts admiring Georg when he is 10 years old and sees two of his paintings for the first time; he is inspired by him some years later in the constant search for a work based on light. Presently, his work seeks to recreate the ambiances of bars or cityscapes.
