Don Van Amerongen Artist Bio:

Don’s paintings explore the rich interpretive intersection between color, form and meaning. By following and re-imaging ancient artifacts, places and feelings; he seeks to bring continuity to our modern world experience. A restless voyager, photography offers Don a current way of exploring our environment on the move. The photos are manipulated and digitally painted shown as either prints or used as a starting point for his paintings. Don earned a BFA at The San Francisco Art Institute in Painting and studied with various photographers, including Ansel Adams.
