Eric De Becker Artist Bio:
Education in Fine Arts & Advertising. 28 years in the advertising business. 30 years or so in an ongoing visual quest. Highly influenced by COBRA, Alechinsky, de Kooning, Cocteau, Kokoschka, Matta and Richter to name a few. My work originates from the application of the dialectic method. An argument of resolving the tension between chaos and structure in everyday life. I am a strong follower of the "Tachism" movement (Art Informel-intuitive painting), the European answer to the American Action Painting of the 40's and 50's. I live and work in the Antwerp area, Belgium.
