Sherri Bustad Artist Bio:

I have lived and work on Naxos Island in Greece for the past 16 years. I began painting through art therapy in the early 90's in Los Angeles, CA. I believe strongly in art as a healing solution, whether that be physical, mental or both. Through trial and error I have developed my own methods; painting straight from the tube, varnishing watercolors and other non traditional formulas to express emotions and the environment which I live in. I have returned to the US, Palm Springs, California from Jan-March the past few years and continue to do so, to work on an art project which incorporates music, poetry, food and art - Art&Music Space 349. I continue to create work here on Naxos and also at the studio in California, and my studio in northern Minnesota (allowing shipping from the US as well). Currently I have the first in a series of Artists' Retreats OFF THE MAP-NAXOS on Naxos where I live. The next dates available are June 17 - 23, 2016. (see www.facebook.com/sherri.bustad for more info)
